Stationary Testing Sites

In addition to mobile testing sites, HCPH also helps organize stationary (or fixed location) sites within Harris County.

Register at covidcheck.hctx.net or 832-927-7575. Learn more.

Appointments are preferred for mobile testing sites. To register, take the Self-Assessment survey online, visit covidcheck.hctx.net, or call 832-927-7575. You will be able to choose your testing location and time during registration. Once registered, take your confirmation page and code with you to the testing site at the designated time.

Alternate Testing Sites

In addition to stationary (fixed) and mobile sites operated by HCPH and our partners, there are numerous alternate sites managed by organizations like CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, and more. Please note that HCPH does not manage these locations or their availability. For more information about operating hours, scheduling an appointment, and acquiring test results, contact the facility directly.

More testing sites may be found on the TX COVID-19 Test Collection Sites Map compiled by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and URISA GISCorps.

Acquiring Test Results

The process for acquiring test results will differ based on the location visited and whether the facility is operated by Harris County Public Health (HCPH). For locations not operated by HCPH (i.e., Alternate Sites), you must contact the facility directly for information regarding test results.

*If your results are positive and you live in Harris County, you will be contacted by HCPH epidemiology. You will receive a call from 832-927-7575 and/or a text message from 346-229-1960. If you live outside Harris County, you will be contacted by your local health department.
